Pergola & Paver Patio

The brief

An open backyard patio with no shade, no privacy, and no defined gathering area — useful only in the narrow window before Florida's midday heat sets in.

The build

We built a structural timber pergola with clean contemporary detailing and an integrated privacy screen, anchored into the existing paver field. The travertine surface was extended and re-leveled to create a cohesive base for the structure.

The result

An outdoor room that works through the Florida afternoon — defined overhead by the pergola's rhythm, private on the sides, and finished underfoot in travertine that stays cool.
